Giant Mine — Project Execution Plan

Outcome provided project management advisory services over a six-year period for the remediation of the former Giant Mine in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. The project is estimated to cost several hundred million dollars and will take close to 15 years to complete. The scope of work for the advisory services has included the preparation of a detailed Project Execution Plan involving all management plans required for such a complex remediation project. Outcome’s expertise in remediation and risk management was instrumental in the integration of previous design outputs for the development of a comprehensive execution plan with critical path construction schedule and cost estimate. Outcome developed additional supporting detail in the form of project management guidelines for project controls and performance reporting, regulatory support, supply chain management evaluations for the construction manager delivery model, and developing and delivering training to project managers from the federal government involved in the project.
